February 1, 2019 Project Update from City of South San Francisco Construction Connection:

The contractor completed demolition of the former buildings and grading to make the site slope more accommodating to new development. To accomplish this, the developer performed extensive importing and exporting of materials and soil at the site. The Developer recently submitted plans to secure a building permit. Once the City has reviewed and approved the building permit vertical construction will begin.

Alert: Between Monday, February 4 and Monday, February 18, the contractor will be importing soil to site on a 24/7 timeline. Work will impact Oyster Point Boulevard between the Oyster Point Boulevard US-101 off-ramp and Marina Boulevard due to trucking. Commuters may experience brief delays from additional vehicles moving through the area and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

About the Project:

This project includes demolition of existing improvements and construction of three Office/Research & Development buildings, each six-stories high. The whole project will ultimately be 508,000 square feet on a ten-acre parcel. The project includes a parking structure, improved utilities and a new road alignment at Crescent Park at Oyster Point Boulevard and Marina Boulevard. It also includes Bay Trail improvements and a new open space parcel that is envisioned as park and recreation space. The project is expected to be complete in spring 2020. Kilroy hosts community meetings about the project. To sign up for email alerts contact them at (redacted)

Public Concern Response // Sept 6, 2018

To Members of the Oyster Point Marina Community:

As follow up to the public outreach meeting held on August 16, we have heard the concerns raised and have developed immediate action plans to address your concerns.
These immediate actions include:

  • Providing additional staff to monitor and test the temporary electric power generators to maintain optimal uptime and provide reliable power for the marina area.
  • Installing raised dots (rumble strips) to help moderate speeds along the temporary road.
  • Working with the City of South San Francisco to evaluate and determine appropriate measures to address turning movement concerns at the Temporary Road and Oyster Point Blvd intersection.
  • The project team is continuing to monitor dust per health and safety regulations. Additional monitors will be installed at the project perimeter for this purpose.

As discussed during the August 16th public outreach meeting, please note that electric power, while supplied via generator, is provided free of charge to all members of the Oyster Point Marina.
We assure you that we are committed to minimizing disruptions and inconveniences caused by current construction activities.  We appreciate and welcome feedback and will continue to reevaluate and adjust the above plans to the extent possible.
Sincerely,
Oyster Point Development Management Team
